Place of Peace MSG Bobby Farmer
Ret. Master Sergeant Farmer enlisted in the Army as a Combat Engineer after graduating high school. In 2002, he successfully completed the Special Forces Qualification training and was assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group. He served 10 rotations in Afghanistan and Iraq, enduring multiple gunshot and shrapnel wounds, including a traumatic brain injury. He is the recipient of the Bronze Star for Valor, the Army Commendation medal for Valor, and a Purple Heart. His passion is working with returning veterans suffering from PTSD and TBI. He was remarried in 2015 and currently lives in Texas with his family.
Hunting requires you to be present in that exact moment. It gives you an opportunity to have an external perspective, and you know what, it humbles you. You’re whittled down, and there’s a growth that comes from that. You learn a lot about yourself in the elements, and you know where you stand in life’s grand perspective.
